A 2026 roadmap video has emerged from SimWorks Studios today revealing the developers plans for the rest of the year. It includes work on previously released aircraft and well known types currently in development like the Kodiak 900. It also revealed their secret project: a Dash 8! Oh yes!

The Dash 8 and other items

A short cinematic video has been released revealing SWS’ roadmap for the back half of 2026. That roadmap includes the Kodiak 100 Medevac expansion (Q3 2026), Kodiak 100 Amphibian Edition (Q3 2026), Kodiak 900 (Q4 2026), GA-8 AirVan Systems Pulse 2024 edition (now available), PC-12NG (Q4 2026), and PC-12 Legacy 2024 edition (Q3 2026). That’s a good solid list. And then they dropped the news.

Dash 8 or what they are calling the Classic 8 series is going to represent the early models of the Dash 8 -100 -200 and -300. Still well used today on various rough airstrips, the Dash 8 has long been on the wishlists for many MSFS simmers and while the modern Q400 version by Majestic seems to be plodding along at a slow pace, it does seem we’ll be getting the classic edition sometime sooner. No ETA is given but we can see that the project has already been well evolved visually.

More soon no doubt!

  1. Between this and Miltech doing a maritime/ISR variant… yeah I’m going to end up buying both.

I don’t feel like MilTech do a good job in flight models, TBH.

I presume the 2024 Native PC-12 will have an upgrade fee like the Kodiak?

okay by me – the Kodiak has (finally) turned into a really nice aircraft to fly. In terms of handling, I actually prefer it to the BS Caravan(!).

in re their Dash 8, THIS old school steam gauge is the one I’d much rather have, anyway!

and since they seem to have mostly figured out their flight modeling, it should be pretty great!
