Another option for fans of fighter jets in Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 has emerged with the release of AzurPoly’s Dassault Rafale C. The officially licensed jet fighter release packages in some impressive features including at least one not seen before experience. Let’s have a look!

The latest jet fighter to come to Microsoft Flight Simulator has some really impressive stuff packaged into it. AzurPoly have produced a custom fly-by-wire system with dedicated control laws and an attempt at realistic delta wing simulation in MSFS. The jet has terrain following, custom avionics, payload configuration system, custom auto-throttle, a sound pack by Echo 19, afterburner effects, 14 liveries, and quite a few other options as well.

PC users specifically will be able to use the custom AI traffic generation (for simulated interceptions for example) together with functional weapon systems that includes visual and environmental effects. Missiles will target with realistic trajectories and effects on target. Bombs can also be dropped with target designation and the cannon similarly has simulated effects on target. Its the closest to a combat flight simulator experience within the civil focused MSFS that we’ve seen to date.

Designed as a native MSFS 2024 aircraft, the team at AzurPoly have worked with JFEXP (French aerospace and simulation technology company that designs high-fidelity tactical flight simulators) who are also partnered with Heatblur on their effort to provide a Rafale for DCS World.
