Rebuilt for MSFS 2024 and loaded with new features, FlyingIron Simulations is back with their Spitfire V2 module. Let’s have a look at what the developer is saying.

Spitfire Reloaded!

FlyingIron Simulations has announced their Spitfire V2 release! The biggest core change is that the release now includes multiple variants:

• Mark IX with elliptical and clipped wing versions of the C and E wing and with broad and standard chord rudder.
• Mark VIII with retractable tail gear, shortened ailerons, altered cockpit, and Standard Beam Approach (SBA) equipment.
• Mark XVI with bubble canopy and gyro gunsight
• Mark IXc floatplane experimental variant

The major changes continue with brand new 3D art, sound overhaul, new visual effects (flames, smoke, etc.), CFD based flight model overhaul, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical simulation as well as a simulated Merlin engine with in-house modeling of characteristics that include supercharger and auto-mixture control.

There will also be an updated EFB and options for custom payloads and cockpit layouts.
