It’s Friday and we have another DCS World Weekend News update. This one is on the shorter side but it does have some key messages from the team with a thank you for the tributes to Matt Wagner, static model refresh update part two, and a new Reflected Speed & Angels campaign.

Thank you message

The first part of today’s update was a thank you message from Eagle Dynamics. As most of you probably know, we lost a giant in the community last week with news that Matt “Wags” Wagner had passed away after a short battle with cancer.

Tributes poured in from all across the community and Eagle Dynamics shared a few of those tributes including F-16C and F/A-18C liveries that pay tribute. The words “Legends never land” and “Forever aloft” seem fitting.

Static model refresh part two

Last week we also learned about some static model updates that Eagle Dynamics were working on. Even more are on the way with the attention in this update focused on civilian vehicles and particularly those that belong to the Caucasus map.

That includes the Ikarus bus and the ZiU-9 trolleybus and a brand new UAZ-452 van.

New Reflected Speed & Angels campaign

Speed & Angels, a joint Reflected Simulations and Commander Paco Chierici (former F-14 and F-5 pilot) creation, is coming for DCS: F-14B(U). Current owners of the same campaign for DCS: F-14B will be able to get the B(U) version for 50% off. The price? $14.99 USD.
