In the works for quite some time now, SimWorks Studios has taken the wrapper off their upgraded PC-12 Legacy product for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. With new features and refinements, the aircraft is now available directly from the developer and will soon be on various storefronts. Here’s what you need to know!
Upgraded PC-12 now available

SimWorks Studios PC-12 Legacy has been out for a few years now. Developed for MSFS 2020 initially, the developer put out a series of updates aimed at ensuring that the 2020 release was fully compatible with MSFS 2024. This further update takes those compatibility efforts and moves the aircraft into a native MSFS 2024 format while adding more features and making some refinements too.
The biggest change is the MSFS 2024 native CFD flight model which changes and refines the feel of the aircraft. The aircraft also supports the latest Working Title avionics, has a new in-flight entertainment system (with its own games to play while you cruise), a visually modeled and represented engine bay, walk-around mode, and an official MOZA preset for yokes.
In addition, SWS are working on several other updates to the 2024 version that will be coming later. That includes a Medevac interior, a new external power (GPU) model, and a new visual update for the pilot seats with better fur. A future update will also bring together the company’s custom EFB and the MSFS 2024 EFB into one.
The aircraft still has all of the features from the 2020 model like 4 and 5 blade propeller variants, cargo, commuter and executive interiors, custom sounds and avionics, support for PMS50 GTN and TDS GTNXi, custom engine and ITT simulation with altitude limiting performance, nose down attitude on approach with flaps deployed (a quirk of the PC-12), linked yaw/roll control systems, and more.
The aircraft can be purchased through the SWS website for €34.99. Existing owners of the 2020 version get 50% off to upgrade to the upgraded model. It should be rolling out to other storefronts like Orbx and iniBuilds in the coming days.
If you’re thinking about getting it, check out my recent flight with the airplane flying a preview build.
