The next big project in the Got Friends aircraft pipeline is their take on the classic Super Cub for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The design has, in the real world, been modified and custom built for a wide range of purposes and Got Friends is tapping into that customization according to their latest development update. Got Friends say in their most recent update on their Super Cub project that the offering for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 will have hundreds of customization options.
With literally hundreds of customization options planned through Craft Pad, our goal is simple: Make your Super Cub YOUR Super Cub. We want every pilot to have the freedom to build something unique, with an aircraft that looks and feels different from the one parked next to it.
The latest development report contains screenshots showing off different avionics and dashboard configurations and styles together with various underwing payloads (one includes a bike!), cargo options in the rear behind the passenger seat and in the cargo pod beneath the airplane. There also appears to be different light styles (LED and incandescent) and we get to see the detailing being done for the engine.
We know from previous updates that the aircraft will include 5 landing gear configurations and 3 engine variations for 15 unique configurations. Those are the big items, however, this update indicates that there will be many more minor variations so that you can set-up your cub in the way that you want.
