This will be a short one after my long post yesterday about the DCS World release structure. There have been a huge number of thoughtful comments on that post which is gratifying to see! In the meantime we still have a very buggy DCS World open beta patch to contend with and word is that a hotfix is coming today. Here are the details.
Fixing problems
We have word from DCS World community manager BIGNEWY that the team is working towards a hotfix to be released today. Here’s what he said:
Just a progress update, ED team are currently testing fixes for today’s hotfix.

Unfortunately not all, not for me !
I still can not create missions with the Fast Mission Builder and the Channel Map.
Pre-built missions and Fast Action missions do work with the new map. No real issue at this time though.
The new channel map and the P47D thunderbolt are both incredible !
DCS OB is OK if one does not expect true perfection.
Anyway DCS World is one-of-a-kind as a post-WWII wartime flightsim.
I got the money I spent out of it 10 times over, so I will remain with the OB.

Seems that fast mission builder may have been forgotten in the rush to get channel map out and that’s why you’re having troubles with it.
Hopefully we see some improvements there later on!
