On Thursday, Thrustmaster is going to reveal… something. The company posted a tweet yesterday that teased something flight related showing off a multi-monitor setup, some table mounts with nothing on them, and a tag line saying “Get ready to fly.” Interest piqued?
Best guess

There are a few things to note within the teased image that provide us some clues:
- Along the top of the image we have photos of airliners.
- On the side we have a business jet of some kind (maybe a Challenger?).
- The four monitors display a cloudscape
- Two Thrustmaster branded desk mounts
Of all of the clues, the two desk mounts tell an interesting story suggesting that there may be a dual announcement here of new hardware intended to fill those mount locations. The mounts themselves are notable on their own of course but they seem to suggest more.
Then when we look at the nature of the photo it does seem like Thrustmaster may be preparing to offer something more aimed at the civil aviation market. This isn’t a bad idea considering the growing hype and popularity surrounding Asobo Studios development of Microsoft Flight Simulator. Even if Thrustmaster decides to release something that splits down the middle offering general flight gear that is equally well suited to DCS or IL-2 as it is for X-Plane, P3D or Flight Simulator, that would still be a noteworthy thing.
We’ll find out on Thursday at 11AM CEST!
