Yesterday, Team Fusion Simulations confirmed some highly anticipated details on what we would see on the single player side of their new release for IL-2: Cliffs of Dover series. Desert Wings will have a single player and going by the latest update there should be a decent amount of content to check out. Here’s the latest!
Multiple campaigns and missions
When the new Desert Wings release comes, Team Fusion will be including several campaigns and single player missions. The total tally was released yesterday in posts on the forum and social media feeds. Here is what is included:
- 6 Campaigns
- 13 Single player missions
- 2 Co-Op missions
- 24 Quick missions
According to the release, 4 of the single missions are for Cliffs of Dover Blitz owners, while the remainder are for Desert Wings – Tobruk. We don’t have details of what the 6 campaigns are but they hopefully spread out across a variety of aircraft types and missions.
The release also comes with eight new screenshots taken from several of the missions. Have a look!

I’ve been looking forward to this and I’d hoped it would have good single player content. Multiplayer can be difficult when you’ve got the same ping as a Mars rover.

You must be like me Luke – live in Australia! 😉 My ping is generally one of the highest on line, but it doesn’t seem to effect game play.
