As with most things from Heatblur, the wait is long but it is usually worth it. We’ve got a nice little tease from Heatblur today with an image of the ALR-45 RWR and a fun little captionThere isn’t much to reveal just yet except that this is likely a sign that the F-14A is finally on the radar for fans of the jet.

The image above was accompanied by the following caption:

ALR-45 RWR Anyone? Things are about to get harder! 😉 The -A cometh!

This older version of a RWR is far less sophisticated than the one were more used to and that means getting used to something a bit different when we start flying the F-14A. Stay tuned!

  1. I don’t really have a comment, I just wanted to say this place has rapidly become my go-to for flight sim news.

  2. I’m still curious to see how the community receive the A variant of the Tomcat, since it is in all ways inferior to the B model. No engine thrust, unreliable engines, unable to dogfight due to compressor stalls, even older avionics…

I guess it will be nice for older cold war servers and for the full study sim hardcore guys.

    1. It will be interesting. The B mode will probably retain popularity but some will want the challenge of the A model – and yeah some Cold War severs could benefit to be sure.
