Popular French flight sim website Checksix has put together an interview with the TrueGrit Virtual Technologies team on their upcoming DCS: Eurofighter project. It’s a great read and a nice update on how the team is progressing so far.
In French and English

The interview has been posted in both French and English versions so you can read it in either language. It covers a wide variety of ground from the team’s background to their plans for the project and what they are intending to deliver first.
Here’s a short summary of some of the key points:
- The exact version of the Eurofighter being delivered is in flux, however, it will be the Luftwaffe single seat version to begin with (a two seater is not planned)
- The module will introduce the IRIS-T short range missile to DCS World for the first time and is being done with support from the missiles’ manufacturer
- The team would also like to introduce the Meteor missile if possible
- The focus for initial launch would be an aircraft with full A/A capability with A/G capability added later
There’s much more to the conversation so be sure to check out the English version of the interview here. Sinon, lisez l’article en français.
Early access purchase for me – a fantastic beast of a thing!
Interesting remark about corner speed, which I think it its only BFM ‘weakness’ in that it does not have the nose-pointiness of a Rafale or Hornet. At least, unless someone pays for the AMK which so far appears unlikely.

It is an interesting comment and it’s one I understand better now flying the Hornet and Viper back to back. The Hornet can nose point in an incredible way. The Viper can’t but if it has the right corner speed it’ll pull right through some incredible corners.
Should be fun to have!
