It’s been available in other storefronts for some time now, however, its still a big day for PMDG as the Douglas DC-6 that they have been perfecting over the last several months is now available in the Microsoft Flight Simulator marketplace and is available for both Xbox and PC flight simmers. Let’s check it out!
Trailer, screenshots, more!
PMDG have been offering their DC-6 for MSFS for quite some time now with a release that happened early in the summer of this year. Now, however, the product is coming to the official Marketplace and it is bringing with it support for the Xbox as well as for PC flyers as has been the case previously.
Microsoft are throwing their marketing muscle at this project with a fancy new trailer, some really nice screenshots, and a special post on their website.

The PMDG Douglas DC-6 is available in the marketplace with a promotional price of $54.99 USD. The regular price is expected to be $69.99 as that is how PMDG has been selling their aircraft on their marketplace so far.
The aircraft is highly detailed and authentic and PMDG have created a series of tutorials to get new pilots up to speed on it. The first in the series is linked below.
737 to come next
PMDG are well known for highly detailed and authentic aircraft and the DC-6 is their first venture into the new sim. They are, however, working on a 737 and 777 for MSFS. PMDG member Robert Randazzo was recently on the Sky Blue Radio podcast and apparently very nearly confirmed a 757 as well.
In the last couple of days, PMDG have also updated their Facebook banner image with a new screenshot of the 737 exterior. That has PMDG watchers speculating that release is likely within the next several weeks and word is that PMDG expects this project to be released early in 2022.
