It’s not here just yet folks but we’re another step closer if the latest two videos are any indication. Aerges has released a couple of showcase videos that give us our best look yet at the radar simulation for the DCS: Mirage F1.

Air and ground radar

The Mirage F1’s radar has both air-to-air and air-to-ground modes offering some relatively impressive capabilities for the time. As near as I can tell, most or all Thomson-CSF Cyrano IV radar system with limited look-down, shoot-down capability.

The first video is focused on air-to-ground radar capabilities. It can even pick out most of the details of The Palm located off the coast near Dubai.

The second video shows the scan and track modes of the radar in air intercept mode.
