We’ve got two more videos coming out featuring RAZBAM’s DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle. They both focus in on the radar functionality of the jet and are critical for future Strike Eagle pilots in learning what they can do with the jet.
Air to air and ground in the latest videos
The first video, arriving yesterday, combines lessons learned in the past tutorials and covers search, STT, and TWS to then prosecute an air-to-air engagement. As I’ve written before, the Strike Eagle is an impressive jet with the ability to both engage its intended target while also defending itself against threats – particularly from the air. This series gets you set to handle all of that!
The section video to mention comes from 10 Percent True, the YouTube based podcast series that incorporates DCS and real world tales from the cockpit. It’s also a partner with RAZBAM and Eagle Dynamics offering up a bundled book with the DCS: F-15E module called ‘Be Afraid of the Dark (Part 1).’
The video is about the ground mapping functionality of the radar. The F-15E has something called synthetic aperture radar and it gives the Strike Eagle the ability to see targets with its radar at an unprecedented (at the time) level of visibility and resolution. It also means that the F-15E can identify and strike targets at night and through cloud. Pretty impressive! Check out the video here.
It’s all about the beautiful ground radar. 🙂
