Reflected Simulations campaign updates didn’t make the DCS patch

Reflected Simulations did a lengthy YouTube update recently about how all of his campaigns were getting the DCS: Normandy 2 treatment on release of the map. Some of the campaigns saw small changes while others saw drastic and dramatic changes to better handle the history and expand the scope of some missions. Turns out, they didn’t make the patch. Here’s what we know.

Not ready, coming soon

Reflected took to the DCS World forums to let fans of his campaign series know that the update that he had talked about recently for several of his campaigns is not in the patch. These would be the Blue Nosed Bastards of Bodney, The Big Show, and Jagdflieger campaigns all which were set on the DCS: Normandy 1944 map and are now making the jump to Normandy 2. I wrote all about it here if you want to catch up.

Here’s what Reflected had to say:

The update to my 3 Normandy campaigns somehow didn’t make it into today’s patch. ED is aware and are looking into a solution. For the time being, just enjoy the new scenery, and try to fly under the Eiffel tower and the Arc the Triomphe. The overhauled campaigns should be coming soon!

Hopefully Eagle Dynamics will be able to release a hotfix to include those updates into the mix. I’m sure single player fans will be wanting to dig into some favourite missions and see what they are like with the new map.

It’ll be worth the short delay. 🙂

They went in a hotfix today. Anyone know if the new update means MT is always running now or do we still need to do the shortcut?
