We had the Black Friday sales going and now we’ve got some Christmas themed sales rolling out across the flight simulation world. Everyone from Microsoft, Orbx and JustFlight to Tobii, Tacview and IL-2. Let’s have a look!

Just Flight

The folks at Just Flight are offering 50% off on popular add-ons across their webstore. Though many of the special prices pertain to older products, there are a few newer ones such as their Piper PA-28 series which all have seen some discounts.

Microsoft Flight Simulator marketplace sale

Between today and January 3rd, find sale offers up to 79% off on items across the MSFS Marketplace. Accessible within the store, you’ll find many items are not at the maximum discount but there are always gems in there to be found.

Tobii

The folks at Tobii are offering a 20% off on their eye and headtracking solution. I’ve reviewed their Tobii Eyetracker 5 previously and have been using the solution for my simming over the last year and a half now.

IL-2 sales underway

With discounts of up to 75% off on both the official IL-2 Sturmovik webstore as well as on Steam, there’s plenty of details for the WWII and WWI combat flight sim fan.

Tacview

If you fly combat flight sims, particularly DCS World, Tacview is a must have utility. The free version gets you started but if you want some more capabilities then the paid version is the one to have. With 40% off currently you can pick up the software with a decent discount. CowanSim

Marketplace offerings of the entire CowanSim helicopter line are going up for sale as part of the marketplace sale. The announcement, made on X/Twitter, does mention a substantial update to the 500E but it was mentioned in a correction that we’ll have to wait until the new year for that.

X-Plane 12 sale and X-Plane org Sale

If you’re looking for a deal on X-Plane 12, it appears that Laminar Research’s X-Plane 12 is taking part in the Christmas Steam Sale that is currently underway. The sale price drops X-Plane 12 down to $40.19 USD with a 33% discount. The planned price hike for the sim has yet to take effect so this is likely the cheapest X-Plane 12 will be for a while. Oddly, Laminar have not announced the sale on any of their channels so this sale seems to be flying under the radar.

Meanwhile the unaffiliated X-Plane.org Store is currently selling quite a few aircraft, scenery and other products on sale. Some potentially good deals to be found there for those looking!
