A few DCS World updates coming in this Friday with some updates from the usual DCS World Weekend as well as a new screenshot from RAZBAM’s DCS: A-29B Super Tucano. Let’s have a look!
South Atlantic update

One of the highlights in this week’s DCS World Weekend News is a look at RAZBAM’s DCS: South Atlantic map. When first released the map had some charm to it but the overall look and feel struggled at lower altitudes. There is work ongoing to improve the map and this latest update reports that new building types, points of interest, ground texture and normal map improvements are all in the process of being implemented over the coming months.
Bo-105 update
Miltech-5’s DCS: Bo-105 has had its own long and winding journey spanning the last several years, however, this latest update contains plenty of encouraging news. While the project is talked about in summary on the DCS World Weekend News update, their Facebook page goes into much more detail. Some of the key takeaways include news that the electrical and fuel supply systems are done while turboshaft simulation work is still underway. Another element of their team is working on integrating the project into DCS World.
Over the years we’ve seen semi-regular updates on the art work being done for the project and the team reports that all of the different versions that they plan to do are “done” which I assume to mean that the specific artwork differences between each has been completed. Three versions are planned including the German Bo 105 PAH 1A1/VBH, Swedish Hkp9A, and South Korean Bo-105 – that last one will be AI only.
A huge number of renders showing off the modeling work on the helicopter are available on the Miltech-5 Facebook page including this sampling.

New cockpit image from A-29B Super Tucano
Another long running project is RAZBAM’s Super Tucano. First revealed many years ago, we’ve seen periodic updates on the project and the latest shows off the type’s cockpit complete with its modern instrumentation.
The strong visuals here represent a step forward for the project. Should be interesting to see more!
