DCS World ‘Lunar Sale’ is on now

Yep! You guessed it! A DCS World sale is here and unsurprisingly there’s a long list of modules on sale over the next couple of weeks. If your virtual hangar has an empty spot in it that needs to be filled by a DCS World module, now is a pretty good time to go pick something up.

Year of the Dragon sale

DCS World + Glowing Amraam’s awesome trailer making skills + Two Steps From Hell music = DCS World sale hype!

It’s the Chinese New Year kicking off right now with 2024 marking the “Year of the Loong” or Chinese Dragon in legend. As is the way for Eagle Dynamics and their online storefront, such a celebration is a great time to grab some discounted modules.

Discounts are about the usual with recent Eagle Dynamics modules including DCS: F/A-18C, DCS: F-16C, DCS: Mi-24P and DCS: AH-64D getting their prices knocked down from the usual $79.99 USD to $55.99 USD. Other older modules like the DCS: P-51D and DCS: Spitfire IX see their price reduced by half and are on offer for $24.99 USD. Aerges/AvioDev, IndiaFoxtEcho and Magnitude 3 are offering discounts on their Mirage F1 and C-101 products while other third party developers including Heatblur and RAZBAM are not participating.

Check out the DCS World e-Shop here or find DCS World on Steam for these sale prices. The sale lasts until the 18th February 2024.

It’s to keep everyone quiet until at least the 18th so they don’t have the daily 1000 people on the forums asking if the Phantom is coming out soon.

Now everyone knows it’s definitely not until after the sale ends. 🙂

MB339 finally available at 30% off, making the price reasonable…might have to bite on it this time around.

You’ve probably heard me say it before but I’ll say again that I really quite like this little jet. It’s not especially flashy compared to the high end combat jets but its just so simple and straightforward to fly.

Yes and your recommendation is one of the reasons I’m so very tempted! 🙂

I love the trainers – have the Yak, Albatros & Aviojet. They are each a worthwhile, if infrequent, enjoyment. Especially the AvioJet – so well executed even by DCS standards.

The MB339 looks to be very much the same (perhaps a bit more as it’s a little more sophisticated systems-wise).

Honestly, I think I’m hung up on the fact that I got the others for 50% off (which was $25 each back in the day), so even $40 seems like a lot. And I still need to buy HBs Phantom, so…

Aaaaaand…there’s a few addons in other sims I “need” (, and they’re all right around $35…

If i’m “smart” with my “investment”, I should buy the MB339 and wait for the others to go on sale…

The addon budget is rather strained at the moment – and I LOVE it 😉

Looks like RazBam is being cheesy on the sales again. Steam sale just stared and everything is full price. They make some great stuff, but they are certainly not the friendliest of developers.

I share your disappointment at times (see above re MB339).

I was lucky enough to get the Razbam collection way back when they were 50% off during every single sale.

RB has put a tremendous amount of work into Harrier and especially into M2K since then, and I think the very positive exposure the Mig-19 has gotten thru Enigmas Cold War server has helped that module a lot, too.

So it seems they’re being more selective with degree & frequency of sale participation these days.

The good news is that they really have become top shelf modules. So whenever the right amount of sale discount eventually comes along for you, I’m sure you’ll be satisfied. 🙂
