Over the last few years I’ve gotten sucked into the scenery collection experience for Microsoft Flight Simulator (and X-Plane) buying up quite a few airports. Some of these are expensive propositions while others are relatively inexpensive and some of them are even free. But rarely is a large airport, like EDDF Frankfurt Airport, available for free at a payware quality. Enter Aviotek’s EDDF!

Free hub airport

Frankfurt EDDF is the 6th busiest airport in Europe and a major European hub for Lufthansa, Condor, and other operators. Aviotek Simulations’ Frankfurt International Airport Scenery for MSFS is available for free and is sporting payware level details with handcrafted airport buildings, animated jetways, custom GSX profile, up to date taxiways, custom terminal interiors, and a custom terrain profile.

The developer reports that they intend to do more with the scenery.

This project does not end here: it will receive constant updates based on feedback received from you and from a list of things that we want to implement (Terminal 3 included, for those already wondering)
