We’ve got a new Combat Pilot developer diary coming to us from Jason Williams. The diary comes in a couple of parts going over a bit of a recap of how their public showing at FSExpo went and then talking a little about work that is going on now that they are past the expo. Let’s have a look!

Past, present and future

The Combat Pilot team has had a short break after working some long hours to get their technology demo up and running at FSExpo. Jason details that they did run into some problems and they had an issue with their PowerPoint during the presentation but despite that had a good showing.

Talking about a new flight sim infront of a few thousand enthusiasts is never a bad thing in my mind!

Now that the show is over they are onto their next steps. The to-do list is a long one and they have fundamental features and technical hurdles to overcome according to Jason.

Coming soon will be a launch of their panned Patreon and Merch storefronts for people who want to support the project financially. Here’s what Jason had to say:

One thing we will launch soon is our long planned Patreon and Merch operations to give those that want to help us financially an opportunity to do so. Such support is always optional, but any support is greatly appreciated. The more revenue we can generate ourselves the more independent we can be as a studio. We will also make more videos and hold live stream events in the coming months so you have a better idea of what we have built and have more opportunities to interact with the team.

Jason Williams, Combat Pilot Executive Producer

In addition, we’ve got our first looks at cockpit details for the F4F and A6M Zero aircraft. The aircraft at FSExpo didn’t really have any details in their cockpits so this is a logical next step for both aircraft. Always great to see these things coming together!

  1. I know I am a little off topic here but I just want to ask something. Are the crew making Combat Pilot going to make clickable cockpits for their planes or will it be more like flying a plane in IL-2 Great Battles?
