We’ve got our first tutorial video from Eagle Dynamics Matt Wagner with a look at the not quite ready DCS: CH-47F. The tutorial video gives us an introduction of the helicopter itself as well as a look at how to start the aircraft and get it ready to fly. Let’s go!

Chinook cold start

DCS: CH-47F is a relatively recent version of the twin rotor Chinook heavy lift helicopter. Matt Wagner confirms that the model is from the 2011 to 2013 time period. Just a little over a decade from what current models are offering making it one of the most modern aircraft in the sim.

The video is aimed at the quick and easy way to start the helicopter and get the basics going. A more in-depth tutorial will surely come later on but this is a good preparation for day one of owning the module and just wanting to fly it around for a bit.

Check it out!

  1. That’s my baby! The systems look complicated, but since there are no weapons to manage, it might be doable. Just a big fat fast chopper to get from here to there. Fine with me.

It looks surprisingly similar to the airliners I’ve been flying quite a bit of recently. Merged with a little A-10 or F/A-18 MFD action. Should be interesting!
