The Summer Surprises from iniBuilds are almost over with several products getting deep discounts throughout the sale period. The last item on the list is their A300-600 which gets a discount and an update at the same time. Let’s explore both!
Improvements to accuracy and performance
Sometimes you just resonate with an aircraft and with iniBuilds and the A300 I’ve found one such (among many!) airplane. The first Airbus evolution into a freighter and its long lasting history has proven to be a fascinating airplane to experience in MSFS and iniBuilds have continued to offer updates to their airliner project long after its initial release at the end of last year.
We’re now on version 1.1.2 bringing in a huge list of changes. One of the most important is performance where iniBuilds has been working to solve crashes, improve stability, and refine both textures and systems logic to improve the performance of the aircraft. iniBuilds airliners have been panned for lower frame rates but I will be curious to see how the A300 performs with a 15% improvement that they have touted in this new update.
There have also been accuracy improvements for the P&W engine start up, FMS behaviour and ECAM logic for ENG FADEC channel faults. Curious to see how much this will affect my flying of the airplane. iniBuilds also tout working with subject matter experts (SMEs) with A300 flying experience to tweak performance.

iniBuilds are offering the A300-600R(F) up for sale as part of their ongoing Summer Surprises series. Typically on offer for a regular price of £34.99 GBP the aircraft is currently available for £19.99 GBP. The sale doesn’t appear to have an end date but most of them have been short lived so don’t wait too long if you’re already thinking of pulling the trigger on a purchase. And if you’re on the fence I wrote an early impressions review about the airplane back at the start of the year. With most of the aircraft’s features now delivered, sans the modern avionics add-on, I probably need to write a full featured review too!
