Were just a few months out from the excitement of FlightSimExpo 2024 in Las Vegas and now we’re looking towards the future with travel details and schedule for 2025. The 2025 edition of the expo will be taking place on June 27-29 at the Rhode Island Convention Center in Providence, RI. Let’s have a look at the latest news.

Details and schedule for 2025

Its never too early to plan ahead and thanks to a new press release from the organizers of FlightSimExpo, we have some key details for 2025. We learned in June that the expo would be headed to Providence, RI on the east coast of the United States.

Things are looking quite similar to how they were setup last year. Friday kicks off the main event with an afternoon of product announcements from all across the industry. There will also be a banquet for FSA Captains in the evening.

Saturday and Sunday will be focused on the 85,000+ square foot exhibit hall with plenty of hands-on demos for software and hardware.

The organizers are also planning add-on experiences trips to Newport, air traffic control facility tours, escape rooms, planespotting trips, and more. FSA Co-Founder Phil Coyle says, “we’re working on these options now and look forward to providing more details on aviation-themed and destination-focused Activities in early 2025.”

Travel information

All of the events will be taking place at the Rhode Island Convention Center which is located in downtown Providence. They organizers say that its a walkable, foodie-friendly downtown (I like food!) so that sounds good. The suggested hotel is the Omni Providence Hotel connected to the Convention Center. It will be available for $199 USD/night (plus local taxes, but no resort fee like at Vegas). Discounts are also available at the Marriot and Hilton.

Providence Airport (PVD) is on the smaller side but locals should be able to secure a direct flight. Plenty of larger hubs feed into the smaller airport so travel from nearby cities is possible. It’s also on the North East Corridor and the Providence station with Amtrak and MBTA service is also a possibility as its just steps away from the Convention Centre.

Registration opens

Attendee registration opens on December 14 so look out for that to come along soon. They report that the 3-day pricing starts at $50 USD for FSA Captains – nice little perk if you are one. Full details will undoubtedly come as we get closer to December 14. Look out for more soon!
