The folks at KwikFlight have followed up on their B-2 Spirit release with a B-1B simulation for Microsoft Flight Simulator. Let’s have a look at what we know about the release.
Introducing the “Bone”

iniBuilds started teasing a new aircraft release yesterday on their social media and it looked awfully like a B-1B Lancer was on the way. Turns out, that’s exactly what was happening. I’ll admit that I didn’t think too much of KwikFlight’s B-2 but it has its fans and while some of the liveries available are quite outlandish, one look at the cockpit has me intrigued.
Some of the features include CFD flight model based modeling, functional CDU with flight planning, flight model adjustments depending on the sweep of the variable geometry wings, custom coded TCAS, functional hydraulic and bleed air, electrical simulation for APU and CSD for power management. The jet also has WWise soundset using GE F101 engine recordings, engine simulation and even a sonic boom sound effect.
The 16-liveries do have some realistic options but KwikFlight seem to enjoy some of the more outlandish ones. They are … an acquired taste I’m sure.
The KwikFlight has been published by iniBuilds and is available on their store for £19.99 GBP or $25.98 USD.
