Black Friday sales round-up (updated)

The sales are flying around right now thanks to Black Friday deals. There’s quite a bit of flight sim related gear, software, and accessories on sale right now so here’s a round-up of some of the ones that I was able to find. Let’s go find some deals!

On sale

Black Friday sales have spread worldwide thanks to e-commerce and the internet and that means some typically good deals found few other times during the year. In no particular order, I’ve generated this listing of deals that are available right now.

  • VIRPIL Controls – Sales on offer include up to 30% off on many of the hardware manufacturer’s gear. The Ace Torque pedals are, for example, 20% off while the Dual-SF Collective Grip is 30% off. Some items, including several of the grips, are off for a bit less ranging from 14% to 20% off depending on the item. VIRPIL are also willing to throw in an extra 5% when you spend over $/£/€1000. Check it out on the EU, US, and UK stores.
  • Orbx is offering up to 75% off on 900+ products across MSFS, X-Plane and P3D categories. Some of those include scenery packs that have been upgraded for MSFS 2024. Check that out on Orbx Direct!
  • iniBuilds has 2000 products listed on their store for up to 60% off including aircraft and scenery packages. Check it out on the iniBuilds store.
  • Eagle Dynamics has their Autumn Sale ongoing right now with discounts up to 50% off on both the DCS World e-Shop and on Steam.
  • X-Plane.org has a Black Friday sale going on right now with what they say are the best deals of the year. That includes aircraft, scenery and more! Check it out on the X-Plane.org Store.
  • IL-2 Sturmovik: Great Battles Series and the IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover series are both offering up deals right now with up to 75% off. Check that out on Steam and on the IL-2 store.
  • Just Flight have up to 50% off on popular add-ons right now too! That includes various aircraft packages for Microsoft Flight Simulator from Just Flight, Black Square and other developers. Check out the Just Flight store here.
  • Contrail store has up to 60% off on a whole bunch of products in their store. Check out the Contrail store!
  • SimMarket has discounts on a ton of products across MSFS, X-Plane, P3D, and older products. Check out the deals on SimMarket!

    SimMarket also has quite a few good deals. I’m probably going to pick up the newly remastered Just Flight Piper Arrow III for XP as it’s 50% off there (and i’m going to add the REP upgrade to it from xp.org store).

    They also have the iniBuilds A300-600 on good discount.

    Contrail has good deals with 50% off, too. They have some Hi Fi UK .mil airfields that are on my list.

    Dont forget the in-game MS MarketPlace – LOTS of really good deals there. MP only available in v2020 for now.

    The CowanSim helos are on great discount on their site and several others.

    Hype Performance Group has about 20% off on their site. I’m tempted to get the H160…because who doesn’t need a $20,000,000 helicopter…?

    Speaking of helicopters, I picked up the new-ish JRX Bell 407 and OMG it’s pretty much my favorite (civilian) helo at the moment! On sale for $20 on the Org.

    Does Orbx have plans to bring True Earth Florida to XP12?

      I hope so! I really want TE Washington back again too but I haven’t heard any announcements. Orbx seem to be slow rolling the updates for XP12.

      I’m pretty sure I put a link to my XP11 version of TE Florida in my XP12 custom scenery folder and it worked just fine.

      It was quite a while ago though. I might not have thoroughly tested it or might even be completely mis-remembering.

      If you have a copy of the XP11 version, drop it into XP12 if you haven’t tried it yet.

        In theory it should work but sometimes there are bugs apparently. I haven’t tried it yet!

      They finished TE Great Britain not too long ago.

      I would hope they’re just gradually working their way through the series.

      Not sure where TE Florida sits in the list.

      Like the other guy said, tho, you can definitely use v11 in v12. It’s not perfect because it doesn’t take advantage of the new XP 12 features and lighting, but it is still a GREAT visual upgrade.

    Did you hear that FSLabs has confirmed that they are going to do an A321ceo and then an A321neo? I am especially excited for their A321neo since it is also going to be very high fidelity. It baffles me as to why they have chosen to do an A321ceo since there’s the Fenix A320ceo family which includes their own A321ceo. Also, they have upgraded their website, which I think all MSFS customers should know. Please forgive me for being a bit off topic here but I’m just curious to know if you are planning on doing a news post on this now that it is official. Sorry if I have irritated you about this.

    Winwing has great HOTAS and a big Black Friday sale that ends 13 hours from now. I bought a great HOTAS throttle quadrant and joystick. The shipped from a US warehouse and it arrived four days after my order. I’m very pleased with it.

    Very nice work and flies GREAT! (and v2024 compatible already).
