A short message from third party aircraft developer Octopus G seems to indicate that DCS: La-7 may be due for a release in 2025. Let’s have a look at the latest status on the module.
Lavochkin moves forward into 2025

Octopus G is a developer that tends not to speculate on release dates all that much. They they have offered a small but steady supply of posts over the last couple of years as they slowly worked towards completion of their DCS: La-7 project.
The Lavochkin fighter follows up from their earlier DCS: I-16 release and offers a late war WWII aircraft that is better placed to do battle with the DCS: Fw190D-9 and Bf109K-4.
Their message includes an image of the La-7 with a prominent 2025 date which does seem to indicate a goal of launch.

That is further backed up by the following messaging:
We can call the past year a time of refining the DCS: La-7 module to meet ED’s strict standards, aiming to deliver an iconic virtual aircraft of the highest quality. And we can confidently say that we are just one step away from the finish line.
Hopefully we’ll see more from them early in 2025. Check out the latest update on the Octopus G Facebook page!
