Over the last year we’ve been slowly picking up images of all of the aircraft in development for IL-2 Korea. The latest to feature is the La-11 which is now textured and flying in-engine. Let’s have a look!

The latest aircraft from 1C Game Studios dev blogs to be focused on is the La-11. Its not the first time we’ve seen the aircraft get featured but this time around we get to see it flying around in the new sim engine.
The blog reports that the aircraft has its external textures in but other systems like weapons, flight model, cockpit textures, and giving the AI the ability to fly it remain in development.
We already know that the La-11 represents one of the very last models of the famous Lavochkin line of fighters. Its all metal design, three NS-23 cannons, and various cockpit improvements make it significantly better than its forebears. It is another example of the last of the piston engine fighters and fits into what you might call an ‘uneasy mix’ of fast piston engine fighters and much faster jet fighters.
Teaser of other aircraft content

There is a bit of an interesting tidbit contained at the very end of the blog.
We have now discussed almost all aircraft in the main set of our new project. Now there is only one left, to which we have not dedicated a Dev Blog yet. Besides this machine, we plan to talk about the additional aircraft set during the fall. We expect this to surprise you pleasantly!
There are a few aircraft that really haven’t been given much time yet in the official blogs. The F-84E Thunderjet, F4U-4 Corsair, and F9F-2 Panther have all been mentioned in various comments by the developers (such as Dev Blog 19 with an end of year wrap-up) but we haven’t seen all that much of them. We know that carrier development is intended to follow on after Korea’s initial release so that may well be part of a package of content that includes the Panther and Corsair. We’ll have to see exactly how that gets put together.
