A new video from Grinnelli Designs keeps interest for the new DCS World module high with the focus on a unique gun and strike camera functionality for the DCS: F-100D. Let’s have a look at this.

Record your moments with the camera

Grinnelli Designs are opening up new functionality for DCS: F-100D with the gun and strike camera system. Mirroring the cameras used by the real jet and using functionality for the camera system from within the cockpit, you can configure your DCS: F-100D to record short video clips from your successful (or not so successful) strike missions and aerial victories.

There’s the traditional forward facing gun camera that most people are familiar with. It mirrors real world operation with the camera active, primarily, while firing the gun and then saving the footage in your DCS saved games folder. You can go back and retrieve it later and share it with friends or the world.

There’s also the strike camera which gives you a rear facing view to take in your attacks on ground installations.

Grinnelli have built quite a bit of extra functionality in here too with the ability to set it up with a period accurate filter or leave it unfiltered so you can add your own effects (or leave it as is). You can also adjust the angle and aim of the camera. Check out the video for the full explanation.
