We’re getting. close to FSExpo and the announcements are ramping up. The latest comes from FlightSim Studio with a summary of updates on various projects that the developer is working on. We have news about the company’s 727 line, E-Jets, and the Tecnams as well. Plus apparently there is something new in the works. Let’s have a look!

P2012 Traveller v2 and P2006T v2 updates

Lets start with the P2012 Traveller v2 project. This general aviation aircraft has been overshadowed a bit but it looks like work is progressing well and FSS are planning quite a bit for this aircraft.

Native MSFS 2024 features like native EFB, walkaround mode, partial career mode compatibility, MSFS 2024 3D passengers and different cargo types are now in. The sound pack has also been significantly updated.

The variants planned include passenger, cargo, VIP, special mission and skydiver versions and the VIP version is all-new having been just recently announced at AERO Friedrichshafen.

This project is in beta and near the finish line according to FSS.

The P2006T v2 project is also in the works follwoing the P2012.

E-Jets

According to FSS, their protracted development on the E-Jets is nearly complete. They say that major functionality for the version 1.0 release has been implemented or in an advanced state.

One item that they say they are changing up is autopilot ditching any vestiges of the built in MSFS autopilot system and using their own custom one instead. They say that once the work is completed and tested, they will consider E-Jets v1.0 completed and then work can turn to a native 2024 variant.

We know that many of you have waited a long time for this point. It has also taken longer than we wanted. But the current work is not about adding more and more features. It is about making the aircraft stable and strong enough to move forward in the right way.

I’m hoping this is a steady and smooth process. FSS had my attention early on and I was initially quite optimistic about the E-Jets from this developer, however, the lengthy development time has soured my experience somewhat. Still, it looks like things are coming together and the long road traveled might be paying off well.

727 progress

The big news for 727 fans is that eh developer is now starting with their native MSFS 2024 update. The new version will include new textures, updated 3D model, and several other (unspecificed) technical improvements.

The ADV version with auxiliary tanks is also being planned as an addition.

FSS has released a few different version of the jet with both the shorter -100 and longer -200 variant.

More details will come later.

Future plans?

Finally, FSS are planning to do a live stream via FSElite on Saturday, June 13, at 15:30 UTC to present future products. The developer reports that they have been growing their team and that they have a new product in the works that they intend to reveal.

The project is unknown to us at this time with FSS saying that it is “a bit unusual” but also that it “fits very well to our DNA.” Curious to know what it is!

Read the full report here and look for the live stream coming up soon.
