DCS World Weekend News has arrived on schedule and we’ve got a couple of noteworthy updates from both the news release and from around the community. Yesterday, I reported on Heatblur’s F-14 plans to come out of early access with that module and now we’ve got some news on the Data Transfer Cartridge (DTC) and on Grinnelli Design’s soon to release F-100D. Let’s have a look!
F-100D

Release is coming up quickly with content creators beginning to drop previews of the aircraft and Grinnelli Designs detailing more features of their aircraft.
Let’s talk about the beeps, the sweeps and the creeps! Hah!
A great short video from Grinnelli Designs talks about the AN/APR-25 Radar Homing and Warning system which is an early RWR system. To create a realistic rendition, the developers put together a synthesizer based on knowledge of the real aircraft to approximate the sounds that the real system would have used for different radars. You’ll be able to tell the different radar types apart based on solid lines, dashes as well as flashing lights on the panel together with their audio cues. Watch the video for more!
DTC updates incoming

Eagle Dynamics are continuing to build out their Data Cartridge system for DCS: F-16C and F/A-18C.
The video takes you in-depth on some of the new features that are rolling out for the aircraft. These include Geo Lines, Threat Points, and Destination Points for the F-16. Over with the F/A-18, we’ll be getting Situational Awareness partition options like Corridors, FAOR/FLOT, Missile Engagement Zones, and other Settings.
