The folks at iniBuilds have shown off a new teaser of their A380 Airliner project that is currently underway. Let’s have a look at the latest tease.

Time for the Super Jumbo

A couple of years ago, iniBuilds revealed that they were planning to do an A380 Airliner project eventually. Those plans are coming to fruition as the developer is fresh off of the release of the L1011 and have delivered significant updates for the A340, A350, and even the A300.

The visuals above are all that we have for now though I expect that we’ll be learning more about the project near the upcoming FSExpo.

The project will inevitably be compared with FlyByWire’s A380X project which is a freeware effort. How the two projects shake out and how iniBuilds will be able to differentiate its payware offering versus a slowly maturing freeware will, of course, be an interesting one to see.

Glad to see the Jumbo-est coming along!

I remember watching these things depart from Heathrow: “banking with intention to turn” 😂🤙

Not an addon for me, but I’m sure many folks will be super happy 😊

I still haven’t gotten into the A350 yet (though I feel like its time is coming for me :)) so it’ll be a long time before I need something like the A380. But it does have a “rule of cool” thanks to its enormous size. I think that will draw casual and experienced simmers in.

        Yep 👍

I’m definitely going the other way, though.

I just want to fly, so airliners are just too involved for me (I feel guilty not doing cold n dark starts, etc).

Whereas a nice Hi Fi biz jet like the Phenom or Lear 35 take just minutes from open door to ready for taxi.

And the side benefit of being able to make use of all the smaller airfields in out of the way scenic spots is more satisfying for me, too 🤙

Yeah I’m really appreciating the quick start nature of the Phenom 300E right now. Review in progress and its been fun to setup varying lengths of flights. Easy start!
