A few days ago, Flight FX posted a teaser on their social media and Discord communities teasing a new aircraft reveal and it is now here! The Hawker 800XP, a medium sized business jet, is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 and the developer says that they are aiming for a new level of detail and depth on this project. Let’s have a look!

The Hawker business jet

A new mid-sized business jet is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 from Flight FX. The Hawker 800XP as modeled by Flight FX will reportedly have additional levels of system simulation beyond what we’ve seen in the past. Here’s a little of what the announcement had to say:

Step into the PL21-equipped flight deck and discover an aircraft where the systems beneath the panels matter. The H25B is the first FlightFX product to feature detailed system maps on the EFB. The electrical, hydraulic, fuel, pneumatic, and pressurization systems work together throughout every flight, supported by interactive system synoptics, real-world performance data, custom flight dynamics, total aircraft persistence, and an immersive soundscape recorded from the real aircraft.

Custom pneumatic, pressurization, electrical, fuel, hydraulics, ice protection and engine modeling (with electronic engine control or DEEC) combines together with fully coupled VNAV and optional auto throttle. Flight FX report that each engine develops its own character as engine hours accumulate with fuel flow, N1, N2, ITT and oil cooling diverge slightly between the two. A reported 1,300 parameters will be tracked on a per-airframe basis including switch, lever, fuel, weight, balance and other attributes will all be tracked between flights.

The aircraft comes with NaviGraph and SimBrief support, the latest in Flight FX’s custom EFB tablet, and the aircraft will be using an audio soundscape developed with Boris Audio Works.

The aircraft will release on September 8 and will be available exclusively through the Marketplace. The price has not yet been announced.
