Legendary aircraft developer, A2A Simulations, has revealed that they are entering into the final stretch ahead of a release of their Accu-Sim Legacy RG550. The aircraft is next on the developers release schedule and part of their long term development strategy. Let’s have a look at the latest.

Familiar technology on a hot GA performer

The Lancair Legacy is a kit-built aircraft that is now out of production but one that has some cache among aviation enthusiasts thanks to its sleek looks and high performance. With a room for two, a 276 mph rated top speed and a 2,200 feet per minute climb rate, the aircraft is a hot performer when compared to more typical GA options out there. The same applies in simulation and this is the subject of the next A2A release.

A2A initially expected to release in Q3, however, with Q4 on us A2A are reporting that their efforts are very close and that beta testing is continuing well.

The simulation is looking great, beta is progressing well and we are now very close. Our planned release will move slightly into October, giving the team the final time needed to complete the polish following one last round of real aircraft reference work.

The real aircraft referenced is A2A’s own real world Legacy RG that they have used to test their technology and simulation on.

The aircraft release will incorporate Accu-Sim 2.0 technology which is A2A’s own external aircraft simulation that feeds into the simulation. Bespoke, flight model, sound, persistent wear modelling, electrical and systems simulation are all part of the benefits of A2A’s well regarded simulation efforts. A custom Garmin G5 simulation is coming together with other avionics configurations.
