The October 23 release date for BlueBird Simulations 757 is nearly here. Years of anticipation have built up to this moment and the airliner product for Microsoft Flight Simulator is nearly ready to launch to expecting fans. BlueBird have released a new video helping to set expectations as well as announcing a new hardware partnership with Wingflex. Let’s have a look.
Expectations and hardware
There’s undoubtedly a lot of hype around BlueBird Simulations 757 launch. Microsoft Flight Simulator in its current iterations has yet to see a high fidelity 757 come to the sim and so this moment is a significant one for a lot of fans. That kind of hype also builds up a lot of expectation and sometimes that can be a problem too. So, Shervin Ahooraei, CEO of BlueBird Simulations, has taken to YouTube once again to try and set expectations.
Shervin has touted the aircraft’s systems and detailed cockpit as the high points of the product and has encouraged people to make sure that they make use of the detailed manual to get to know the 757 and how to operate it. The “Master Manual” as they are calling it is available through their Discord right now should you want to study it ahead of time.
He also says that while they think their cockpit and systems are great, they know that their cabin area is middle of the road as its not their focus. He also, with a bit of humour, suggests that the lavatories are not modeled either nor will they be. People ask and developers feel obligated to answer.
The other bit of news is that BlueBird are teaming with WINGFLEX to produce a 757 autopilot panel. Those of you wanting to setup a cockpit in your sim rig will probably appreciate having a hardware option tailored to the aircraft. No details are yet available and its not listed on their website just yet but I expect that will be soon.

BlueBird Simulations 757 is expected to arrive October 23, 2026 with a price of $80 for the 737-200 for MSFS 2020 (and compatibility for 2024) with P&W and Rolls Royce engines. Later, a 757-300 release, only for MSFS 2024, is planned together with a free MSFS 2024 upgrade for the -200. A freighter variant is planned for later. More information is available on the Bluebird website!
