It’s been a while since X-Plane 12 got a turboprop airliner but that time is coming to an end as Deltawing Simulations has stepped into the fold with an ATR 72-600 for the sim. The release now has a release date of October 27th so let’s have a look at what is planned.

Ready to launch

Advertised as a study level airliner release, Deltawing Simulations has said that they intend to release their ATR 72-600 for X-Plane 12 on October 27, 2026. The developer says that their aircraft release features custom engine, electrical, hydraulics, anti-ice, and autopilot models and a custom MCDU as well as custom sounds, radar, and display system.

Previously released screenshots have shown off the cabin, cockpit, and exterior of the aircraft.

The focus, according to the developers, is on the longer ATR 72-600 passenger model. Nothing about the Highline, Freighter, or shorter 42-600 have been confirmed.

No price has been set so we’re looking for that to come sometime ahead of the launch.

  1. They’ve been hard at work on this for awhile!

Their M346 and F-16 are pretty good (I prefer the 346, myself).

I hope this goes well for them. Those airliner simmers are a TOUGH crowd!
