The day has arrived! Less than 24-hours after a medical issue caused a delay in the launch, BlueBird Simulations 757 has now finally come to Microsoft Flight Simulator. The highly anticipated, high fidelity, simulation of a Boeing 727-200 has been sought after for years and is now available for purchase.
Up into the blue!

BlueBird Simulations have been working on their Boeing 757 simulation for years now and the product has now emerged as a high fidelity rendition of the now classic airliner. BlueBird have touted the depth of simulation of their product using source data from the real aircraft to capture visual, sound, and system data.
Both Rolls-Royce RB211 and Pratt & Whitney PW2000 powerplants, custom coded flight computer, LNAV and VNAV capabilities with authentic logic based on the real world airplane, 200+ working circuit breakers with every system mapped to the real world diagrams, CRT style displays, bleed air and pneumatic simulation, custom IRU alignment, terrain display, system failures, and and detailed EICAS messaging are just some of the features that the aircraft sports. An EFB, SimBrief and Navigraph support are all standard too.
There was a bit of confusion previously over what their release plans were so here’s a breakdown of everything you’re getting for the $80 USD purchase price:
- Initial release is the 757-200 in MSFS 2020 native (and fully compatible with 2024)
- Follow-up release brings the 757-200 to MSFS 2024 native
- Further follow-up release brings the 757-300 to the package
Following all of that, a Freighter variant will be released. That, however, will be an add-on package rather than part of the base price.
Purchase is now available from the BlueBird Simulations webstore and through JustFlight! Some users are reporting a delay in being issued their product key so you may need to continue to exercise some patience while the initial deluge of purchases goes through.
