IL-2: Battle of Kuban now full price, Standard edition available

IL-2: Battle of Kuban is no longer being offered for the $69.99 ($10 off) pre-sale discount price (something that persisted for several days after release) and is now available at the full price. The real news is that Standard edition is now available too offering a lower priced option.

Battle of Kuban Standard Edition

If you’re new to the IL-2 series, there are typically two versions of each title available at release. A Premium edition and a Standard edition. There isn’t much in the way of content difference save for two extra aircraft that are not included in the Standard edition. It does, however, shave the price off.

Here’s what you get in Standard:

  • 8 Battle of Kuban Aircraft
  • Kuban Map
  • Battle of Kuban Campaign
  • Quick Mission Builder
  • Single-Player Missions
  • Multi-Player Mode
  • Player Controlled Tanks

And Premium:

  • 2 Collector Planes (Spitfire Mk.VВ and Hs-129 B-2)
  • 8 Battle of Kuban Aircraft
  • Kuban Map
  • Battle of Kuban Campaign
  • Quick Mission Builder
  • Single-Player Missions
  • Multi-Player Mode
  • Player Controlled Tanks

Standard is available for the regular price of $49.99 while Premium is available for $79.99.

Should you choose Standard edition you can always purchase the Premium aircraft separately later. The Spitfire Vb and Henschel Hs129B-2 are both available for $19.99 regular price.

Sales are frequently offered on titles in the IL-2: Great Battles collection, however, they rarely come up for recently released titles.

I half-heartedly started a career as an A-20 pilot, just to give it a try, I never thought it could be so addictive and entertaining!

I love flying close formation with a bunch of these light bombers through the enemy flak and fighters, until it’s time to drop the load and limp back home… it makes me wish we had bigger allied bombers and larger formations. A man can dream though, a man can dream.
