VIRPIL Controls wants to know what grip you want them to make next. After successful releases of their MongooseT-50 and Constellation Delta grips, VIRPIL wants to know what you want from them next as they prepare the next generation of their air and space combat series grips. You can also win a prize! Plus, we’re learning that a new grip is coming in the first quarter of 2019.
What are you looking for?
In recent years we’ve seen some healthy competition with Thrustmaster, CH and Logitech offering some well known options along with the more boutique options from VKB-Sim and VIRPIL Controls expanding into the market.
That has opened up things and offered some new takes on how sticks, grips and bases are offered both in terms of the quality of components as well as the ability to make adjustments and customize for individual set-ups and preferences.
Now, VIRPIL is looking to the future and they want you to weigh in on what it is that you want next. Here’s the word from them:
Hello VIRPILs!
VIRPIL Forum
We’ve received some great responses from the community regarding what the next VPC grips should be. To thank you guys for your input and support we’re turning this poll into a giveaway!
Everyone who votes in our “What Grip Should VIRPIL Make Next?” forum poll will automatically be entered into a prize draw. There will be 3 winners each winning one of the next generation VIRPIL Controls Grips that will be released in Q1 2019 – but be quick as this poll will close on December 31st!

New grip coming Q1 2019?!
Coming sometime in the first three months of 2019, VIRPIL is working on their next gen of grip and that news in and of itself is interesting. Though the poll is surely aimed at another future product further down the line (the prototyping for this new Q1 grip is likely already done) it does seem that in the meantime they have something incoming in the nearer future.
For me and for you
I really want someone to make a good medium-high end grip with plenty of hat switches, a thumbstick, dual stage trigger, and a Z-axis for twist grip use. Some sim players have setups that enable rudder pedals and for them those are ideal, but others for a variety of reasons either don’t want or can’t have that kind of setup and for them there is still a desire for a high end option.
A MongooseT-50 with twist axis or a VKB MCG Pro with twist is the kind of thing that I’d love to see.
How about you? What kind of flight sim hardware are you interested in right now? What do you want to see in a grip? Let me know in the comments.
