Heatblur’s F-14 launch video is out

We still have a few days to go until the DCS: F-14 launches but in the meantime we have this gorgeous launch video featuring the DCS: F-14, with music by Meteor, and plenty of cinematic goodness.

The launch trailer is titled ‘This is War’ and there’s not much left for me to say. Check it out, enjoy and look for the DCS: F-14 to arrive on March 13 for beta pilots first and a few days later for folks on the public release.

Oh, and did you spot the Community A-4 in there? That was interesting.

I can honestly say I have never been more excited about a DCS release.

I think that the music doesn’t fit the trailer at all. It is a pity, because Caparzo’s work is amazing, as always.

Very excited about the F-14 too, there is something special about this one but I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Is it because of the movie? I don’t think so… or is it because it’s an iconic, complex aircraft of what looks now like the “golden era” of jet fighters? Not sure, perhaps. Or maybe because it’s just an awesome-looking fighter, who knows 😉
