I’ve written about the Flying Circus multiplayer events many times in the past so I didn’t want to write a long piece today recapping my latest foray into the event but I did want to share a ton of screenshots to visually illustrate what the event is currently like. Let’s check those out!
Preamble plus screenshots
Flying Circus Furball is a community organized fly-in event that happens every Sunday that encourages players to hop on a designated server and have fun in a dogfight oriented event. Although Flying Circus doesn’t yet have its map released, you can still have a lot of fun and most of the events I’ve attended make good use of a very scenic part of the Kuban map (the Kerch strait) as the backdrop for an all out furball.
This time around I got to fly the new S.E.5a, the Sopwith Dolphin and the Fokker D.VII and D.VIIF.
My WWII skills translate poorly into the WWI furball environment and I need a ton more practice before I start doing anywhere close to well. With a 2:1 loss ratio favouring the opposing team, I wasn’t much help, but I did get some valuable flying time and experience with Flying Circus.
Anyways… on with the screenshots!
If that all looks like a lot of fun to you, check out this thread on the IL-2 forums to find out when and where the next event will be (its usually every Sunday). Everyone is welcome and all skill levels, even ones as bad as mine, are welcome too so just hop in and have a good time!
3 and 6 are really nice thanks!
