Baltic Dragon’s Raven One DCS: F/A-18C campaign has arrived

Keeping the theme with highly anticipated content releases, yesterday Baltic Dragon’s Raven One, a campaign for the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet released together with a release trailer and the full details on this campaign. Here’s the details and why you may be excited to give it a try.

In consultation with authors and real pilots

Raven One captured the attention of fans right from the day one announcement. This campaign is based on the novel by the same name and written by Kevin Miller. Set aboard the fictional USS Valley Forge on patrol in the Persian Gulf, the traditionally tense situation in the region turns hot placing the protagonist in some challenging situations. The DCS campaign fits in almost perfectly with this narrative and offers the same series of challenging situations.

Both Kevin Miller and Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello, a well known contributor who is also the host of the Fighter Pilot Podcast, are former U.S. Navy F/A-18 pilots and provided their expertise while building the campaign. That undoubtedly helps add extra depth to the scenarios and the authentic realism of carrier aviation that the campaign seeks to provide.

The campaign features 15-missions, all fully voiced, placing the pilot in a wide variety of different types of missions and all featuring detailed briefing notes prepared closely in collaboration with the author of the novel and with “Jell-O.”

Sounds exciting enough to me!
