One of the few remaining weapon systems still coming to DCS: F/A-18C is the AGM-84H SLAM-ER. This is an enhanced version of the AGM-84 SLAM with extended range and the ability to cruise to targets via multiple programmable waypoints. Matt Wagner’s latest video release walks us through how to make use of this weapon.

Differing from earlier versions, the AGM-84H SLAM-ER has more range and the ability to steer via waypoints to target before activating its seeker. It’s also a “man-in-the-loop” style weapon so it can be steered onto target with the appropriate pod attached to your Hornet.

In this new video, Matt Wagner walks us through how to setup and rlease the AGM-84 SLAM-ER before then briefly going over new autopilot functionality in the Hornet. These missiles can travel impressive distances before striking their targets which gives the Hornet even more attack flexibility. Check it out!
