Asobo Studios next aircraft in their aircraft pipeline is out and it’s the first of the ‘local legends series’ that the team has started to produce. The Ju-52 or “Tante Ju” is out and here’s what you need to know!
First of the local legends
Asobo Studios is aiming to release a series of aircraft called ‘local legends’ and each one will be themed around a world update. We don’t know if they will be going back and doing legends for some of their previously released titles but it will be interesting to see what they do over time.
For right now, it’s all about the World Update 6 and the Ju 52 which are thematically linked.
Junker’s famous Tri-Motor served as a transport and utility aircraft pre-war, during World War II, and some soldiered on for some time after the war was well. Although many Ju52’s were destroyed during the conflict, some still exist and according to this article posted on the Flight Simulator website, 5 are still airworthy. So cool that Asobo are producing a series of aircraft like this.
For $15, it’s just so easy to add a “tangible” piece of history to your hangar. At that price, it’s way cheaper than building a dust-collector plastic model, and a heck of a lot more fun 🙂
