Raven One Dominant Fury for DCS: F/A-18 has launched

Legendary campaign builder Baltic Dragon is back with a prequel campaign for his previous success: Raven One. The new Dominant Fury campaign is a prequel campaign based on the book by Kevin Miller by the same name. Here’s what you get with the campaign.

Using the DCS: F/A-18C to the max!

Raven One: Dominant Fury looks to be like the previous Raven One campaign. Story based, highly realistic and immersive, and intended to push you to use the DCS: F/A-18C to the maximum. The campaign makes use of the DCS: Syria and DCS: Supercarrier modules which should give you plenty of use out of those assets.

The campaign was a joint effort between campaign creator Baltic Dragon, the original book author Kevin Miller, and Vincent “Jell-O” Aiello who is the host of the Fighter Pilot Podcast. The later two are former F/A-18 pilots with over 3,000 hours of experience each. That certainly helps with providing the kind of authenticity that this campaign provides.

The campaign is comprised of 15-missions, 24-hours of gameplay, 3,400 voiceovers, and approximately 150 custom kneeboards and charts. The voice actors include well known community members RedKite, Growling Sidewinder, Tricker, Spudknocker, Bel Geode, Casmo, Tactical Pascale, and others.

Check out the trailer below and visit the DCS World e-Shop or Steam Store to pick up Raven One: Dominant Fury. The campaign is on sale for a regular price of $16.99 USD.

Oh man, I need to go back and finish Raven One. That was such a fantastic campaign. I normally make all my own missions in DCS, as I have a pretty specific point I like to be at in terms of realism vs fun. The Raven One campaign really pushed me out of my comfort zone, and made me a better F-18 pilot in DCS. I never did A/A refueling before that campaign.

There was that negative review on steam that actually did a great job of selling it. It made fun of it for all the military jargon and preparation that you needed to complete each mission. I think it ended with the signoff “Bingo Bango, Trash out!” Which always makes me chuckle.

I will definitely be picking this up.
