RAZBAM’s YouTube channel has released a new video featuring the DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle. This latest video represents a departure from their previous tutorials as this one is showing the aircraft in motion.
Navigate the Strike Eagle
Get your pens ready so you can take some notes because this is a full featured tutorial that covers almost everything you need to know about the F-15E Strike Eagle’s navigation features. This video takes us into the front seat and back seat showing off the interface for both.
You’ll learn about steerpoints, TACAN, ILS, and we even see a bit of weapons configuration as the tutorial takes us to a bomb training range and releases a few weapons. And air combat? Yep, there’s a bit of air combat too!
One of the cool features on display is the auto designation when crossing the initial point (IP). This configures the jet for attack all at once when using the auto sequence. Very cool!

Best indication of completion yet
With prior videos, we were very constrained in what we could see in the jet. With static, no flying scenarios, it was hard to assess what the jet was like. This video is different as we see systems, combat, the exterior model, the rear cockpit, and even the flight model in operation. Although there are things that we can’t really assess from the video, it does indicate that the DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle is now moving into a state where both its visuals and its programming are coming together in a convincing way.
Although we have no release date, this video gives me new confidence that RAZBAM is on track for a release before the end of this year. Until this, I was more of the thought that this might be a 2023 release. As always, its hard to fully assess what will happen here so it may yet be a while before we can fly this jet ourselves but my confidence is growing.
