A couple of pieces of news coming out of RAZBAM over the last few days. We’ve got a new training video talking about the PACS system for the F-15E. There’s also a new in-development shot of the RAZBAM MiG-23MLA.
Strike Eagle updates
The first update is that we have a new training video. This is a 16 minute tutorial that covers the PACS or programmable armament control system for the F-15E. In goes in-depth on how the system works, which weapons can talk to it and which weapons need to be configured either as part of a data cartridge or manually.
There’s also a short clip from RAZBAM CEO Ron Zambrano showing off the MPCD screen brightness and contrast controls.
MiG-23MLA update
A work in progress shot of the MiG-23MLA has emerged. This image was released by Ron Zambrano on Twitter and it shows the MiG-23MLA with the 3D model and textures. This is the first time, in my memory, that we’ve seen the MiG-23MLA look like this and show what appears to be an in-engine shot.
This project clearly has some way to go but its a surefire sign that it’s beginning the process of being integrated into DCS.
