The developers at 1C Game Studios are once again showing off some new materials and updates in their latest developer update. This time around we’re getting our best look at the C-47 that we’ve ever had, a solid update on the Sopwith Snipe, and our first real look at the Western Front map for Flying Circus. There’s also a few other tidbits in there to mention so lets dive right in.
C-47 and Snipe
Two Collector Planes, in development with 1CGS and with Ugra Media, are seemingly nearing completion and we’ve had our best look at both of them yet. The C-47, long awaited, is looking really good in the latest images casting off some of the obvious in-development pieces and looking quite complete.
Images show both interior and exterior and the cockpit in particular is looking quite good!

We also have a new look at the Sopwith Snipe. This follow-on to the Sopwith Camel made use of the Bentley BR2 rotary engine with a 100hp boost over the Clerget 9B that the Camel had. The result is quite a hot little fighter and here again we have new screenshots that are looking quite good.

Western Front Map
The Western Front Map looks like it will offer a definitive experience for Flying Circus fans. We’ve not really had the opportunity to see much of this map, beyond a few landmarks, up to this point. This new update gives us our first screenshots of the map in action.
We’ve also learned that the technology for this map is the same that we’ve seen with Normandy’s map. Visually it certainly looks to be about on par with the latest from Normandy.
There’s also mention of the map having both QMB and multiplayer access with Career mode also getting a mention. Flying Circus Career mode is still on the way which is great news. One thing not explicitly mentioned? AQMB. Hopefully we’ll see that feature implemented here too.

That’s a pretty juicy dev update with a bunch of items covered that most of us have been curious about for a while now. Read the whole update right here!
Good thing that they cleared up what is going on at the company. Would have been a shame to provide a few pics of project that we knew were in the works but totally ignore the elephant in the room.

I think we’ll hear more on the live stream.

Spot ON!! AQMB for Flying Circus is almost a ‘must’. Whilst having PWCG is brilliant, it does have it’s limitations (such has having to set the whole thing up) and one of those is the ability to jump in, get a couple of missions under your belt and then go about your daily business, as it were!

Do you think for FC3 they’ll do the Reims sector map and another map like the Channel map or Tarnopol map, or they’ll just do the Reims map and throw in the rest of the RoF planes, save for seaplanes and Russian planes, in FC3?
Based on how long it’s taken Ugra Media to make the FC2 map (no disrespect to them), I feel doing a map which has no reference in RoF like an Italian map would take even longer for them to make and it would be better if the devs made it.

To be honest, with the recent management changes and the still unannounced direction the series might take in the future, I’m a little skeptical if FC3 will happen at all. I guess after Nov 9th we might know more.

Like Shamrock say‘s, maybe we get some answers in the upcoming live stream. I ask myself trade will be possible with changing geopolitical situation?
However, my focus is on FC3 because Flying Circus was announced as triology. The schedule for Flying Circus 2 is very far behind and if I read the DD correctly the missing content doesn’t come in one peace, first Map and QMB, later Careers. We only can guess how massive the impact about the situation hits the 1C and Yugra Media Studios.
I hope always the best but my expectations are in time a bit limited.

Almost as though some transparency might be in order.
There is a suspicion that the Russian element – be that what it may – has regained control of the project. The utter and deafening silence on matters such as these are not selling FC 2.
I remain dumbfounded at the sheer incompetence on display. Musk / Twitter is hy comparison a master-class.

I would like to know what the roadmap is for Flying Circus and if a Vol 3 is still in the cards.
