Tease or literal statement? We’ve got a new message out from RAZBAM CEO Ron Zambrano that seems to indicate that the DCS: F-15E Strike Eagle is near imminent release. Let’s have a look at the message and see what this is all about.

Two weeks?
If you’ve traveled in flight sim community circles at all in the last 20-plus years, you’ll have often heard of someone asking when something would release. That question would be followed by a “two weeks” as the answer. Oleg Maddox from the original IL-2 series for example was famously quoted “Two weeks, be sure!” in response to such a question. It’s something of a meme within the community to say the least.
The response “two weeks” rarely means a literal two weeks and is usually more of a shorthand for “we don’t know but it’s coming sometime soon.” In this case, however, it seems like we might be onto something more specific.
Posting to Twitter early today, Ron Zambrano released the following video. Watch to the end to see the message cleverly written in objects that the F-15E’s ground radar was able to pick up.
We’ve also previously heard that the DCS: F-15E would have a pre-order period. Two weeks may not mean to release but rather to a pre-order period followed by an early access release several weeks later.
In either case, it looks like the F-15E will be landing on our DCS servers sooner than later. More on this as it develops!
Update: With a lot of messages swirling after the post earlier today, RAZBAM team members on their official Discord are confirming that the F-15E will not come this year.

That seems clear.
Additionally, many have pointed to the “TM” in the original image as an indication that this is a joke. And while I think this post was lighthearted, I do think we might see something happen in two weeks – pre-order does seem more likely than an early access release.
Bring it! I’m ready. Unfortunately all my other planes will go into hibernation when the F-15E comes out, but that’s the nature of things. Definitely going to be well set up with beverages and a tablet or two beside the main screen to run tutorials and get this thing figured out. It’s gonna be fun.

Absolutely! And some folks are not into it at all so I’m sure there will still be great diversity of airplanes flying around online.
On the other hand… it could be Eagles… Eagles everywhere! ☺️

I’m going to have to learn to properly butter a landing again, no more -720fpm controlled-crashes with this bird 🙂
