Grinnelli Designs have recently been touting their DCS: F-100D Super Sabre project tracker giving us a very clear indication on where each piece of the project is currently at. Let’s have a look!
Super Sabre development
Announced as part of a series of announcements over the summer, Grinnelli Designs’ DCS: F-100D Super Sabre is another 1950-60s era jet coming to DCS World further bolstering the line-up of Cold War era aircraft.
To date, the project has been shown off only in a basic 3D model form. No new screenshots have been released, however, the developers have been keen to tout a new project tracker that gives us a very clear indication on where the project is at and what is currently being worked on.

The tracker makes use of an overall status view with percentages complete as well as a more detailed breakdown of the individual components. The big picture states that art progress and code progress are at 18% and 35% respectively with an overall 26% completion level at time of this article’s writing.
We then have details on items such as the external flight model, engine, fuel, hydraulic, and electrical modeling, weapon systems, and various aircraft systems are listed. Many of these are in progress while others are on the todo list.
On the plus side, we should see it before Q4 2030. 🙂
