As I write this, Heatblur has put up a live stream link on their YouTube channel with the title ‘DCS: F-4E – Phantoms Phorever.’ This is being done in a fashion that reminds me of when the DCS: F-14 was first shown off. That has lead to speculation of a pre-order starting soon. We should know more soon!

Heatblurs’ legendary reputation among DCS World fans have made the wait for the F-4E Phantom for DCS World a lengthy endeavour. Now, it looks like we’re finally on the home stretch.

To give some added context, a couple of days ago an update on the Heatblur Simulations Facebook page changed the cover photo to a stylized wireframe graphic in clear reference to the F-4 Phantom. We’ve seen similar graphics before, particularly for the AJS-37 Viggen.

We’ve also seen Cobra847 reply to questions on if “today” (being a few days ago) was when there would be a release date on the Heatblur Discord. At the time he said that it wasn’t a spooky day.

Well… a spooky day is indeed coming up and October 31st may be when Heatblur kick off the pre-order for the F-4E and set a metaphorical countdown for launch of the module.
